Dream toward the sea becomes reality.
Stability
The growth and development of every business are built upon stability and soundness.
Achievement
Our efforts serve as the foundation for achieving the high goals and status we pursue.
Growth
Starting from the small triangle on the left and expanding toward the right, the shape symbolizes the company’s continuous growth.
The triangle inherently symbolizes balance within the organization. As a company grows, organizational balance must remain firm and unwavering, just as “Gon (坤, Earth)” from the philosophy of Cheonji Geongon (Heaven, Earth, Yin, and Yang) stands solidly at the center. The color representing “Gon” is expressed in blue, inspired by the national flag of the Republic of Korea, symbolizing stability and trust.
Imagination, Vision, and Dreams
All creation begins with imagination.
Innovation and Change
Innovation means breaking away from existing frameworks and pursuing change.
Future
It symbolizes the free and unpredictable nature of time.
Imagination is not confined by limitations, nor does it arise from slow and passive thinking. This symbol represents “Geon (乾, Heaven),” in contrast to “Gon (坤, Earth),” expressing a free-spirited dream that reaches toward the universe. Reflecting this meaning, the color red — symbolizing the sky in the national flag of the Republic of Korea — was chosen. The clearer the dream, the more beautiful it becomes. To maintain harmony, the dream must neither appear excessively larger than “Gon,” making it seem unattainable, nor too small compared to “Gon,” appearing overly bound to reality. The symbol of Orient Shipyard embodies the spirit of the Taegeukgi, while also representing the company’s determination to adapt to the constantly changing modern civilization with a pioneering spirit.
